Freyja adoptable through Bella's Bully Buddies

Meet Freyja! Freyja is a happy and very lovable gal who wants to play or cuddle with you! She is very food motivated so she is easily trained with food and praise. She is currently on the skinny side but steadily gaining healthy weight. Along with the weight gain she has had an increase in energy but a good walk or play time with her people would have her ready for more cuddles in no time. Freyja absolutely loves her Kong frozen and stuffed with peanut butter and also loves her stuffed toys. More than anything she loves to cuddle with her people. You could almost say she's a super cuddler. Her foster parents say that she's extra cute when she tries to take her pup sweater off on her own! Who doesn't need a puppy snuggle partner in this cold weather?!? Frejya is ready for her forever snuggles with you!

Recipe, Shrimp Scampi

You guys, Jon LOVES when I make this for dinner. He's pretty snobby when it comes to his food so this is saying a lot! This recipe feeds probably 4-5 people especially if you serve it with a salad and garlic bread. Perfect for a family dinner!

What you'll need:
1. 1 28 oz. can of whole peeled tomatoes
2. 1 onion
3. 4-5 garlic cloves (pressed)
4. 1 lemon
5. 1/2 stick of butter
6. 1 pack of zesty Italian seasoning
7. 1 pound of shrimp (already peeled and deveined)
8. Spaghetti noodles

What to do:
1. First preheat your oven to 375 degrees. While your oven is preheating, drain the tomatoes but save the sauce that you drained in a bowl to the side. Take the drained tomatoes and squeeze with your hand into a pot on the stove. You want the tomatoes to be chunky.
2. Chop your onion and add that to the squeezed tomatoes, along with 2-3 pressed garlic cloves.
3. Season with whatever seasonings you like (I used salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and parmesan cheese) and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.

To make your shrimp...
1. Take your half stick of butter and slice it thin. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and then spread out your slices of butter evenly.
2. Next, slice your lemon thin and spread it out on top of the butter.
3. Put your shrimp on a plate and sprinkle half of the zesty Italian seasoning on top. Place your shrimp (seasoning side down) evenly on your baking sheet. Sprinkle the rest of the Italian seasoning on top.
4. Press 2-3 garlic cloves over the shrimp.

After the tomatoes have cooked for 10 minutes...
1. Start cooking the spaghetti noodles and put the shrimp in the oven.
2. Next, add the remaining tomato sauce to the tomatoes and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
3. At this time the spaghetti noodles, shrimp, and sauce should be done all at the same time! Dig in :)

Wine & Wish {Featuring Lillet}

Wine

Lillet Blanc is a medium color white wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes. That noses of honey and orange and a hint of mint. While the nose may lead you to expect a sweet dessert wine taste, in fact Lillet Blanc with taste and a firm bitterness, which suddenly diminishes, leaving a lingering trace of orange, honey and bitterness on the palate.

Wish

The coziness of this picture makes me want to cuddle up with a book or have a date night with my hubby watching a new movie. Can you just look at that over-sized pillow on the floor!? LOVE!!! All you need to do is grab a bottle of Lillet and you have the most perfect relaxing evening.

A Day In The Life

of me! I assure you I'm not a very interesting person and my weekdays are pretty routine but I thought this would be a fun way for ya'll to get to know me a bit more. Here we go :)

My days start at 6:15am when my alarm goes off {although I do not actually get out of bed until 7am}. Those 45 minutes are my favorite and I cherish them because I know one day when I have children, my feet will be hitting the ground at 6:15 or earlier.

7am-8am I'm busy letting the dogs out, preparing their breakfast, feeding the cat and cleaning his litter box, and getting myself ready and dressed for the day etc.  Next I prepare my breakfast and lunch, run the robot vacuum
, straighten up the house, and let the dogs out one more time {Jon works the night shift and I know he won't be up for a little bit so I make sure the dogs are good to go before I leave}.

By 8am I'm in the car and headed to work. I arrive at the office around 8:30. Work is work and I'll spare ya'll the details of how my morning goes but here's what part of my work space looks like.

Around 12:30pm I take my lunch. I use this time to catch up on my favorite blogs {A. Liz Adventures}, peruse Pinterest, write a blog post, or do some online shopping. After an hour break, I head back to work until 5pm.

When I'm finally off of work and done my 30-40 minute commute, I head straight home or stop for some errands. This day I had to do a grocery run before heading home {I only run errands on days that I know Jon is home with dogs all day. Otherwise my priority is getting home to them as soon as possible}.

By 6:30pm I'm walking in the door after a long day. Jon has already left to work the night shift so I let the dogs out for a quick potty break while I prepare their {and the cat's} dinner. Surprise! A package was delivered from ClassPass {see previous post}.

The rest of my evening consists of a shower, sweats, running my vbot again {I'm OCD when it comes to my floors}, dinner, a glass of wine, and The Bachelor. I'm in bed at 10pm and will be up again when Jon comes home from work so that I can see him for a bit.

6:15am comes the next morning and my day starts again... What do your days look like? I find it so hard to do anything fun during the week because I'm out of the house 9-10 hours out of the day. Days start to run together and all of a sudden I'm in a funk. I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to, right!? ;) I need to start changing things up a bit!
