Fall Home Tour

Welcome to my home! I have added small touches of Fall throughout our living space so that we can feel festive all season long. These are items I've accumulated over the years so if you want to know where something is from, just leave a comment and I'll get back to you! Also, on snapchat today I did a little tour of my kitchen... since it's such a small space, it's easier to see on video.

Christmas Card 2015

I finally get to share our Christmas cards! Last year I went with tinyprints to do my cards and I was really happy with them. A last minute decision this year had me choosing these cards through Shutterfly {a sister company of tinyprints} and I can say I am just as happy with them! Great quality and the cards arrived on my doorstep just a few days after ordering. They had so many cards to choose from and most cards had a few options for different layouts as well. Here's how ours turned out...

I used this fun post for creative ideas on addressing envelopes. I had the best time personalizing each one and I just know my ricipients will appreciate it as well!

If you haven't ordered your cards yet, it's not too late! Use code FAVES40 to receive 40% off your order and code SHIP49 to receive free shipping on orders over $49 at Shutterfly. Also, I have ONE special code to give out that will get you an EXTRA {and by extra, I mean on top of the FAVES40 and SHIP49 codes} $20 off your order. The code is valid through this Sunday {December 13th}. Comment below if you would like to receive it!

Tequila, Tequila!

Saturday night we celebrated Jon's 26th birthday and mother's day with his family. We had them over around 4pm for dinner and drinks. Shortly after, friends started showing up for all the fun!

{Uncle Jon had some help on the grill by his nephew, Logan}

{Jon and his best friend, Josh... the "bearded wonders"}

{Jon's grandmas and his sweet niece, Emma}

A good time was had by all and we were glued to playing flip cup all night. Definitely brought me back to my college days!

Jon's drink of choice is tequila and that's no secret to all of our friends so naturally that was what he was gifted. 4 bottles of top shelf to be exact... And that night, we killed 2 of them. I'm not a tequila drinker but I DID partake in it Saturday night. That resulted in quite the hangover Sunday morning... oops!

Thank you friends for being so great to us and being a part of our celebration. To those who couldn't make it: we missed you! And to my hubby: here's to hoping this is your best year yet... I love you!

Happy Easter

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying."

He came to pay a debt he didn't owe because we owed a debt we couldn't pay.

Green

Happy St. Patricks Day friends!!! I think I have a sliver of Irish blood in me but my dad has never really been exactly sure of what he is (except for American Indian) so who knows! Most people use the holiday as an excuse to wear green, drink green, eat green, decorate green... you name it, today has turned into being about GREEN weather you're Irish or not! It's all about having good fun. I put together this inspirational outfit using my favorite shade of the color with some gold accents. Such a cute ensemble without looking cheesy for the occasion.

I hope ya'll have a wonderful and lucky St. Patricks Day! I know I can't wait to have children one day so that I can make them green pancakes in the shape of a four leaf clover or to surprise them with a pot of gold chocolates in their lunch box... but for now, pour me a glass of Guinness and let the celebrating begin even though I'm probably not Irish at all ;)

Happy Valentines Day!

Jon and I celebrated our first married Valentines Day on Thursday at our favorite restaurant, Linwoods! We decided to celebrate early because we were late getting reservations... and the restaurant was already booked Friday and Saturday. I'm not complaining though because we get to celebrate again tonight. Jon is going to cook me dinner. I am a lucky girl.

When I got home from work Thursday evening, we started by enjoying a glass of beer. On a whim we decided to exchange presents right then.

I got Jon the fitbit Charge
... he loved it like I knew he would! He likes to track his steps at work so I figured this was the perfect gift.

Typical man opens the card last!

Jon's card to me... he's a man of a few words! (he's actually not)

Ya'll, I was stunned. Jon got me my second wedding band! I was sure I wouldn't be getting it for a while. Did I mention I'm a lucky girl? Ah I still can't believe it.

On cloud 9 about to head to dinner.

Jon went with a steak topped with a grilled onion which he thought was delicious.

While I went with the sea bass... one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant. You simply can't go wrong!

We had the best night celebrating our love for each other. Happy Valentines Day sweet friends!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
