This was definitely one for the books! We successfully surprised the beautiful bride with her shower.
The story line to get her to her aunts house that day? Well a fun day of shopping for the wedding of course! And surprised she was. I don't think she knew what to do at first.
{The get-up we made the bride wear... and she wore it well}
Her aunt's house was decorated beautifully {the brides wedding colors are blue and yellow so naturally we did the same for her shower}! You'd notice there were pictures of the bride and groom scattered throughout the room... all I did was print some of the couples engagement photos and throw them in dollar store frames. An inexpensive way to add a more personal touch! And of course the bride got to keep them.
I have to say the girls {bridesmaids} I worked with on this project were simply amazing. Everyone had such great ideas and contributed so much to make the brides day! Without each of us girls, this shower wouldn't have been what it was. Amanda had a clever idea to have each guest address their thank you card to save the bride time. Love, love, love.
The food and dessert tables did not disappoint. Lots of good eats and goodies to dig in to!
{and mimosas to sip on}
How adorable is this sign that the brides cousin made her?
After filling our bellies we started with the first game... bridal bingo! To create these, I ordered some yellow card stock {to match the theme} and then I used this free printable. We all had a great time playing along while the bride opened her gifts.
Soon after the gifts were opened, we moved on to our second game... the infamous toilet paper dress game! Thankfully bridesmaid Jeanette had a stock pile to dig into for the supplies. Each team really gave it their all to create the dresses.
Team #1
Team #2
Team #3
And the winner was team #4!!!
{The bride and her bridesmaids}
A wonderful time was had by all and our bride was gifted some amazing things that will surely help kick off her marriage! To wrap up the event, there were favors for each guest.... blue and yellow nail polishes {that I ordered through drugstore.com} wrapped in burlap with a cute little sign.
XoXo
