Our Christmas Card Options

I like to get Christmas cards sent out in the first week of December so that it is one less thing I have to worry about as Christmas creeps up on us. We don't get pictures taken by a photographer... I don't see the point in spending the money when I can take them myself and edit them. Sure they aren't as high quality but I think our cards turn out just fine! You can see last year's card here

This weekend I plan to take our pictures for this years card. Fingers crossed that everyone decides to cooperate. Can I just tell you how hard it is to get 2 dogs and a cat to look at the camera and hold still? Anyways, here are some cards I have my eye on. I'll wait until our pictures are taken to decide which one to go with!

Rearranging Our Living Room

Blogger fail... I didn't take any before pictures. BUT you might remember what my living room looked like from pictures I have posted on here before!

The sofa used to be right in front of the runner, facing the window.

The space was open but now the sofa creates two distinct living spaces... the living room and the dining room.

I prefer it this way because now there is an open area when you walk from the front door to the kitchen.

And I still feel like the whole space is open even though the sofa now divides the two living spaces. If you are in the kitchen or the dining room you can still see the tv in the living room.

We've been in our house almost three years now and I had the living room set up the old way since we moved in. I can't believe it took me this long to rearrange the furniture but I'm so glad I did. If you are on a budget {aren't we all?} and you feel that your space needs some sprucing up, consider something as simple as rearranging the furniture. It makes a huge difference!

How is it November 1st already!? Wow, October flew by. The first thing I do every month is change my desktop background to the new monthly calendar. If you do the same, follow this link for the Dawn Nicole design.

Happy Fri{ght}day

Get it? Frightday since tomorrow is Halloween. Corny, I know. Now let's get to my Friday five!

1. Charm City locals you need to check out Mussel Bar and Grille in Harbor East. Delicious food and lots of beers on tap to try!

2. While perusing Instagram one day, I came across Amy Maison Decor. Not only is her dog adorable, her house is gorgeous! I'm definitely going to use her closet doors as inspiration for mine. If you saw my Master Bedroom Tour, you know that sprucing up my closet doors is at the top of my to do list!

3. Red guitar sangria. My new obsession.

4. How many of you go somewhere on Halloween? We go to my sister in laws house to see our niece and nephew trick or treat. And we don't get many trick or treaters at our house so it isn't really a big deal. But for the few we DO get, I'll be leaving this poem with a bowl of candy on our front porch :)

5. I have a cute three tier tray that sits in my kitchen... the only problem is, I am constantly rearranging it because I can't decide what I like best. OCD problems. Here is the latest:

Welp that sums up my Friday randoms! Have a great weekend and a fa-boo-lous Halloween. {Okay, okay enough with the stupid Halloween jokes}

Today I am 26.

& I'm spending the day with my husband lunching downtown and not really doing much of anything important. Perfection if you ask me!
